Evitado Technologies Secures $3M+ in Oversubscribed Funding Round to Scale Airport Safety Platform
Evitado Technologies Inc., a leader in innovative airport ground automation systems, today announced it has successfully completed an oversubscribed funding round, securing over $3 million in capital.
The round was co-led by Morado Ventures, LLC and elev8.vc. The funding round saw strong participation from a diverse international group of investors, including Assembly Ventures and IAGi Ventures, the venture arm of International Airlines Group (IAG) and parent company of British Airways, a current user of Evitado’s advanced technologies.
This significant investment will empower Evitado Technologies to further develop and expand its ELVIZ situational awareness safety platform, which is built upon the company’s proprietary real-time 3D LiDAR perception software stack.
ELVIZ is designed to enable future airport ground automation for both commercial and military applications, bringing new levels of efficiency and safety to ground operations.
“This infusion of capital will allow the Evitado Technologies team to support our current and new users in an effort to scale the ELVIZ situational awareness safety platform,” said Alexander Kasinec, CEO of Evitado Technologies.
Evitado’s technology is already making a tangible impact in airport operations. Scott Broughton, Compliance Manager at British Airways Maintenance Glasgow (BAMG), highlighted the benefits: “After first partnering with Evitado through IAG’s Accelerator, we have been working very closely over the last three years and we are excited to roll out the aircraft monitoring system into our short-haul heavy maintenance base, BAMG.
The state-of-the-art system uses LiDAR to monitor the entire aircraft to ensure that we can safely maneuver the aircraft into the hangar whilst avoiding collision risks such as docking and ground equipment.”
Broughton added, “As well as being able to dynamically monitor the aircraft whilst it is moving, the system can monitor the aircraft’s flight control surfaces. This allows us to see if anybody or anything is in close proximity to the aircraft whilst we are carrying out essential flight safety testing of the aircraft hydraulic systems.”
